About Me
I can honestly say that my job does not feel like work, and that is a wonderful feeling!
My name is Lisa Bickell and I’m a Soft Tissue Therapist with over 10 years’ experience. I am passionate about people and love helping them become more mobile and pain free, improving their quality of life.
Before becoming a Soft Tissue Therapist, I worked in the IT industry where I found that stress (and if I’m honest, boredom) had me almost dreading going into work each day. This was having an impact on my mind and body and I knew something had to change. I decided to move out of my comfort zone and retrain in an area I was fascinated by…the human body!
I began with a therapeutic holistic massage course. This was a great introduction into massage therapy, anatomy and physiology, but I soon found it was not enough for me. My hunger for knowledge about the human body and my desire to help people become pain free, led me down the path of sports massage.
After completing my training at the Oxford School of Sports massage, my career began at Pea Green Physio, where I gained experience working as a Sports Massage Therapist. I then worked at Soho Farmhouse as a Massage Therapist before starting my own business, Go Supple.
As well as running this clinic, I am a busy mum of two. I know how difficult it can be to incorporate exercise, healthy eating, quality sleep, stretching and drinking lots of water into your daily routine. Helping people work out how to fit these into their busy schedule is something I really enjoy.
I went from being stressed about work, feeling sluggish, tired and grumpy, to feeling excited and passionate about my work. I love learning fascinating new information every day and most importantly I enjoy helping people!
